Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox studied flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. The budget of her was augmented by a stipend for students and part-time jobs. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents were inferior to those of the Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other options she could pursue. Lennox began her career in the year 1976, as a member of a band called Dragons Playground. The group did not appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. She was the voice in The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until the year 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox collaborated on her solo debut album Diva. It came out in 1993. Both commercially as well as critically it was a huge achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album came out on October 31, 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is composed of Lennox's most loved blues, jazz and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. This album is a companion piece of her "Now I let the door open... artwork that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first independent album.
